Framed Photos with Gibson and Brock from Stadium Club (3)
The Cardinals 1960s’ dominance is rekindled in these three 29 x 33” framed b&w photos that hung in the Stadium Club. Two photos center on the most dominant pitcher of the era – Bob Gibson, who is seen being greeted by catcher Tim McCarver after his record-setting 17-strikeout masterpiece in the opener of the 1968 World Series against the Detroit Tigers, and being interviewed in the locker room afterward. The other photo framed the quicksilver Lou Brock in a familiar pose – stealing a base as a befuddled fielder dives in vain for him as he’s already rising from his slide. All photos are EX-MT and matted against a white background and surrounded by a black frame. <br>(Estimate $500 - $1,000)
