Frank Chance Signed Baseball

Frank Chance Signed Baseball

Here’s a signed baseball so scarce, that few know of its existence. On the sweet spot of this antiquated and heavily blemished baseball sits a signature from The Peerless Leader, who was immortalized not only in the Hall of Fame as a player-manager, but also in the grains of American culture by his presence in Franklin Pierce Adams’ poem, "Baseball's Sad Lexicon." Remarkably still legible and quite dark, given its origin from deep in the dead ball era, the signature is faded in several spots, but the thickness of the ink used has enabled this rare gem to survive the ravages of time as unequivocally recognizable, grading "4" out of a possible 10. One of the most coveted signatures in the hobby. Ball is game used and darkened from age.
