Gargantuan Fenway Park 1918 World Series Panorama

Gargantuan Fenway Park 1918 World Series Panorama

Out of his world image of the deciding game of the 1918 World Series at a most historic Fenway Park. Spread across the bottom in cursive white lettering is, "World Series...Fenway Park Sept 11, 1918... Red Sox 2 Cubs 1." By Pyle Photo Company of Waltham, Massachusetts one of the finer photos in the art of the stadium panorama. The scoreboard reads 2-1 in this frozen moment in time. The cleanup hitter is at bat, Les Mann leads off first while Bill Klem surveys the action on his watch. It would all be for naught as the score would remain the same and the Red Sox were World Champions once again. The next time would be an eternity. Crystal clear image is overall excellent. The photo itself is 46x8" and is brilliantly framed to 53x14.5".
