From the "Before They Were Stars" Department, this collection of baseball keepsakes all hail from the days before Gaylord Perry broke into the major leagues with the 1962 San Francisco Giants. Among the artifacts are 15 baseballs and Perry's Pacific Coast League Hall of Fame Award, which is NRMT and in the form of a framed certificate with photo of Perry in a Tacoma Giants uniform. The balls include two from Williamston High School, one team-signed and one game-used from a one-hitter thrown by Perry. There are 1958 and 1959 Texas League team-signed baseballs with Perry included. Ten are from 1960, 1961, and 1962, and include win balls and team-signed balls, several of which date back to the 1961 PCL Champion Tacoma Giants. All the baseballs were kept by Perry, and the average condition is GD-VG.
