Gaylord Perry Silver Awards Collection
During his 22-year career, Gaylord Perry rarely served up offerings to opposing batters on a silver platter, but he certainly earned some of his own. First in this lot is a silver plated pitcher by Continental, engraved on the side "Dickie Kerr Award, To Gaylord Perry For Outstanding Pitching Accomplishments, 1-24-67, Houston Chapter BBWAA." It comes with four silver plated snifter style cups and also, six goblets stamped "Nickel Silver" on the bottoms. Next is a serving tray, also silver plated, engraved "Gillete Special Award, 1982, Gaylord Perry," from the year that he got his 300th career win. There's a silver plated ice bucket by Poole that has a "P" on the front for Perry, and comes with matching tray with the same "P" in the center and an extra serving tray that has ornate engravings but no other markings. Last is a 1966 All Star Game tray given by the Chrysler Corporation and there is some tarnishing, and light scratches, otherwise items in the lot are EX.
