Gaylord Perry Texas Rangers Win and Strikeout Baseballs (36)
Gaylord Perry only spent three of his 22 major league seasons with the Rangers, and all of these items come from that Texas era between 1975 and 1977. All are official American League (MacPhail) baseballs and show use. The strikeout balls were the actual ones used to whiff each batter, and the win balls are from the specific games, with most directly linked to the last out of the game. There are 13 baseballs from 1975 including two-hitters vs. the Angels, Indians and A's. There are also 10 baseballs from 1976 and 13 more from 1977, including his 100th American League win, 45th career shutout, 2,700th career strikeout (Jason Thompson), 2,800th career strikeout (Roy White) and 2,820th career strikeout (Don Baylor). Each ball is notated in vintage ink by Perry.
