Gene Washington was a standout wide receiver for Stanford. He wore this college All-Stars jersey in either 1969 or 1970 (he wore the #19 Jersey in 1969 and no one wore it in 1970). A 1969 Game Program accompanies the lot as well as a copy of the 1970 roster. After his career with the Cardinal concluded, Washington played in the NFL from 1969-1979, primarily for the 49ers, and was Director of Football Operations for the NFL between 1994 and 2009. In that All-Star Game, Washington scored a touchdown and was involved in an incident in which he was clothes-lined twice by Johnny Sample of the Jets, prompting Otto Graham to charge the field and hit Sample. The jersey is original and shows good use for one game. Manufactured By Wilson.
