An interesting pair. The turn of the century 4 1/4" x 6 1/2" cabinet photo by Wilhelm Scharmann is from Berlin. With it is his own second generation rendition of the same cabinet (no mount) where he has replaced the photographer's Cartouche with his own, plus St. Petersburg (Russia). He obviously wanted to market his own studio images. Ex-Hackenschmidt Estate.
