George Harrison Autographed Beatle Boots

George Harrison Autographed Beatle Boots

In each Lelands.com auction we present so many unusual, interesting and valuable lots. As well, at each auction we make available a very special lot. This auction we are pleased to offer George Harrison's Beatle boots -- a true museum piece. This mesmerizing pair of boots comes with rock solid provenance. The LOA is from the former owner, Stary Cats' drummer, "Slim Jim" Phantom. I will let his letter tell the story. The letter reads: "My name is Slim Jim, I have sold the following boots to X, these are size 8 and made by Anello and Davide of London. These boots were given to me directly from George Harrison while visiting his home in Henley On Thames in England. George informed me these boots were worn by him in the early days of the Beatles including their performances at the Cavern Club. Being a Beatles fan I asked George to sign the boots which he gladly did in his own witty style. The following day while participating in a British TV Special honoring Carl Perkins Ringo Starr signed them as well. I guarantee the above information to be correct. Sincerely, Slim Jim Phantom 8/17/98." Inside the right boot George wrote, "To Slim Jim with Love from Fat George" with a smile, an Ohm doodle and Xmas 1985. The left boot is inscribed "To Fat Jim from Slim George." This boot is also signed by Ringo. Comes with LOA from Frank Caiazzo as well.
