George Sisler Rookie Era Game Used Bat (PSA 9)
Hall of Famer George Sisler batted an impressive .340 over his 15-year career. This is one of the top two Sisler bats in the hobby, measuring 33.75 inches and 37.3 ounces, and is circa 1916, before Sisler had a contract with Hillerich & Bradsby. "SISLER" is in block letters on the barrel and it shows great use with repaired handle crack and many ball marks on the barrel in addition to spike marks. The knob is stamped "Leacock Sptg. G. Co. St. Louis Mo." Sisler broke the single-season record for hits in 1920, a mark that stood until eclipsed by Ichiro Suzuki in 2004. The bat is graded 9 by PSA, an incredible offering from early in his career.
