Georges Carpentier French Film Poster
Stunning Art Deco movie poster starring Georges Carpentier perhaps the greatest European fighter of all time. Entitled “Battling Geo (Toboggan)” a French film by Henri Decoin. Film was originally titled “Toboggan” and then re-released in 1948 under the name Battling Geo, a much better name for a boxing movie. This is the 1948 re-release poster, the artwork is Avante Garde boxing images and simply magnificent, executed in brilliant, resonant color. Linen-backed, the poster measures 47x63” (standard French size) and is NRMT.
