Giant Honus Wagner Company Matchbook
Rare 2-sided matchbook with advertising from the Dutchman's Pittsburgh sporting goods company has been preserved and framed under glass in a nifty display. Red, white and blue matchbook cover has a head shot of an aging Wagner and an image of a stadium on one side and the co. logo on the other. On the underside is a complete set of matches with a sport's name on each! Matchbook 3.25 x 7.75" and G with small tearing and paper loss on the line of the folding point and its adjacent corners but o/w only minor snagging. The matches are near-pristine! Two-way frame is 6.5 x 11." Wonderful piece -- and ironic given Wagner's famous anti-smoking stance.
