Gorgeous 1913 World Champion Philadelphia Athletics Pinback Button (ex-Barry Halper Collection)
This vintage pinback is a collectible of the 1913 World Champion Philadelphia Athletics. Measuring about 2" in diameter, it is a composite of headshot photos of all the members of the team on a black background, with highlights including Baker, Bender, Collins, and Plank, among others. There are some minor rust stains on back but the front displays beautifully in excellent to mint condition. The A's finished with an impressive 96-51 regular season record before topping the New York Giants in a five-game World Series. Comes from the Barry Halper 1999 Sotheby's Auction and even has the original lot tag.
