Gorgeous 1955 American League Champion New York Yankees Team-Signed Baseball (JSA)
Displayed is a beautiful 1955 New York Yankees American League Championship signed team ball, with twenty-five (25) autos, signed in blue ink from a ballpoint pen. The Yankees had a powerful team. Mantle hit 37 homers, Yogi Berra drove in 108 runs to win the AL MVP, and Whitey Ford went 18-7, with a 2.63 ERA to lead the Yankees to an outstanding 96-58 record in the regular season, but in the World Series, the Brooklyn Dodgers' Johnny Podres, aided by a marvelous catch in left field by Sandy Amoros, shut out the Yankees in Game 7 to win Brooklyn's first, and only, World Series. Hall of Famers - Mickey Mantle (ss), Casey Stengel (manager), Yogi Berra, Phil Rizzuto, and Whitey Ford. Elston Howard, Joe Collins, Ed Lopat, Hank Bauer, Jim Turner (coach), Charlie Silvera, Moose Skowron, John Kucks, Tom Morgan, Bob Turley, Tommy Byrne, Gil McDougald, Bob Cerv, and more. Stengel inscribed "To George" above his signature on south panel. Handwritten "1956" in unknown hand. Reach Official American League Baseball (Harridge) rates excellent to mint condition.
