Green Bay Packers Team Signed Super Bowl I Game Used Football
Super Bowl I was played on January 15, 1967, at the Memorial Colisseum in Los Angeles, California. Led by the passing of Bart Starr, the receiving of Max McGee, and a key interception by All-Pro safety Willie Wood, the Green Bay Packers went on to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs 35-10. Presented is Wilson Official NFL Football (Pete Rozelle, Commissioner), not only used in the very game that would define an American legacy, but signed by forty (40) of the men who would claim victory on that fateful day. The ball, which originates from the Green Bay Packers equipment manager, was recovered at the end of the historic game, and signed by the championship team at the beginning of the 1967 season. Bold (8-9 out of 10) black ink signatures on the ball include: Vince Lombardi, Bart Starr, Max McGee, Willie Wood, Carroll Dale, Willie Davis, Boyd Dowler, Don Anderson, Henry Jordan, Ray Nitschke, Marv Fleming, Dave Robinson, and many more. The ball shows great game use, and is a truly magnificent piece worthy of inclusion in the finest Green Bay Packers or Football memorabilia collection. LOA from a past Pittsburgh Steelers equipment manager, who obtained the ball from the former Green Bay Packers equipment manager.
