Group of 1934 Goudey Wrappers (7)
1934 Rare Goudey baseball card wrappers (7). These wrappers feature a very small photo of Lou Gehrig and Gehrig's name in script with an enticement to "Join The Knot Hole League." Gehrig image states, "Send only Twenty Big League Wrappers (with 3 cents in stamps) and I will send you ONE KNOT HOLE Membership Card - ONE KNOT HOLE Badge - ONE BIG LEAGUE Premium Book." The Knot Hole Clubs let youngsters attend games at reduced prices or for free. The wrapper also has a simulated Lou Gehrig signature, and the wrapper reads, "By arrangement with Christy Walsh." Walsh was baseball's first player agent. Some of the wrappers have wrinkles and very minor paper loss. Overall condition of the wrappers (5x6.5") is very good.
