Gus Zernial Glove
This glove came with the Gus Zernial uniform that was sold in our June 2011 auction. It is a professional model and believed to have been used by the powerful outfielder along with that 1951 uniform. It is a Glovemaster by Medlalist and has "GUS ZERNIAL" stamped in the pocket. There is moderate use and one lace on the finger is torn. Zernial was one of the most feared sluggers in the 1950s, leading the American League in home runs (33), runs batted in (129), extra base hits (68), and outfield assists (17) in 1951. The following season, he hit 29 homers with 100 RBI, then spiked again with 42 and 108, respectively, in 1953.
