Hall of Fame Induction Plaque Presented by The St. Louis Cardinals
The Hall of Fame Veterans Committee inducted Red Schoendienst into Cooperstown in 1989, and that April, the St. Louis Cardinals honored one of their greatest players, managers and coaches with this framed plaque with red velvet matting. It measures 21" x 17" and reads: "PRESENTED TO RED SCHOENDIENST IN HONOR OF HIS ELECTION TO THE NATIONAL BASEBALL HALL OF FAME - PRESENTED BY THE ST. LOUIS CARDINALS AT BUSCH STADIUM APRIL 15, 1989." There is a plate resembling the back of a baseball card that chronicles Red's yearly stats, and there's a great photo of the sure-handed infielder from his plating days. There are also small Cardinals and Hall of Fame logos at the bottom of the plaque, which is in NRMT condition.
