Haney's Base Ball Book of Reference By Henry Chadwick For 1867
An extremely rare book written by the master, Henry Chadwick, illustrating the original Chadwick diagram as first printed. There are great further illustrations among its 139 pages. Chadwick authored these annual reference books in the 1860s and early 1870s. This paper-bound volume measures 3-3/4” x 5-7/8” and its contents include descriptions of player positions, management of a club, the game's rules and umpiring. There's even a glossary of baseball terminology from the time. There's some cover chipping but otherwise is in splendid condition.
