Hank Aaron Artwork By Leo O'Mealia of Superman fame (10x13")
This original black ink work on medium stock board, and inspired by Hank Aaron's astronomical home run numbers, is titled, "In Orbit". It was created by famed sports cartoonist Leo O'Mealia, a featured artist at the New York Daily News from 1943-1960. Several of his other pieces hang in the Hall of Fame. He also created early covers for Golden Age comic books including Superman. There is minor toning around the edges, and "485" was written in pencil at the top left. EX+.
