Harry Gleason Single Signe Baseball

Harry Gleason Single Signe Baseball

A back up third baseman for the 1903 Boston Pilgrims, winners of the first World Series, Harry Gleason's career lasted only five seasons. Offered is an Official American League baseball (Harridge) signed by Gleason in bold (9/10) blue ink. Ball shows light soiling, and a coat of vintage shellac over the signature, but displays nicely. Gleason died in 1961, and this may be the only example of a single signed baseball in existence. Originates from the Jim Armstrong collection.
