Harry Houdini Original Glass Plate Negative
<p>Original glass plate negative capturing famed magician Harry Houdini performing his classic escape from a straitjacket while he was suspended upside down. A number of police officers are shown securing Houdini as a large crowd looks on in anticipation. A master of self-promotion, Houdini often performed this escape in cities where he was performing as a publicity stunt to help increase attendance for his stage shows.
