Harry Truman Autograph Collection
Plain-spoken President Harry S. Truman presented these 2 signed pieces to Russ Stewart, who in the early '50s was managing editor of the Chicago Daily Times and a close confidant. NRMT photo of HST's Cabinet is signed with a personal inscription to Stewart, grading 8/10, and is signed by several other aides like his private secretary Matt Connelly. Mint 1952 book of Truman's letters and diaries is also signed to Stewart under Truman's picture, and this is a bell-clear 10. Inside are also signatures of several Cabinet secretaries headed by Sec. of State Dean Acheson. An historian's dream.
