All four of these are personally scored and signed scorecards from Bobby Jones' 1926 British Open victory, scored in the hand of the golf legend himself from each round. Cards are dated Wednesday June 23rd, Thursday June 24th and two on Friday June 25th, each signed by Jones at the top in pencil. Jones, playing as an amateur at just 24 years of age, scored 72, 72, 73, 74 in respective rounds and stunned the field by becoming the first amateur to win the title in 29 years. Comes with PSA LOA for each. In museum quality framing, the cards are framed to 23x30”, and the lot comes with photocopies of the front of each.
Addendum: These are not the official score cards submitted at the end of each round as those were signed by the marker as well. All four source from the estate of a groundskeeper that worked at Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club.
