This historical autograph collection includes signatures from some of the most influential men in American history, including John Hancock, Thomas Edison, Robert E. Lee, Samuel L. Clemens and John J. Pershing. The autographs also come with pictures of the esteemed signers. Hancock himself is synonymous with signing one's name because of the prominence of his flowery signature on the Declaration of Independence. Clemens is none other than Mark Twain, a name he used as a nom de plume to author such seminal works as Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. The moniker is a nod to his time as a riverboat pilot on the Mississippi River, a familiar setting in his novels. Lee and Pershing's names are etched in the history books because of their military genius, though Lee was infamously the commander of the army of the Confederacy. Of course, Edison was a prolific inventor of the 19th and 20th centuries. Several different aspects of American life are captured in this fabulous collection.
