Honus Wagner Oil Painting By Robert Stephen Simon
Here's a classic image of one of the greatest players of the Dead Ball Era and the man who pretty much defined the baseball card hobby. This thundering 25x29" original oil on canvas depicts Honus Wagner is one of the artist's earlier works, signed and dated "1988" by the remarkable Robert Stephen Simon. A spectacular "hobby" treatment, this pictures Wagner's Holy Grail T206 baseball card. His portrait stands in the middle with lightning striking in the sky. Beautifully framed with gold plaque on bottom engraved, "The Flying Dutchman by Robert Stephen Simon."
