Horseshoe forged by Bob Fitzsimmons
Heavyweight champion and Hall of Famer, Bob Fitzsimmons could not read or write. But he did a lot of talking with his hands, both in the ring, and before that as a blacksmith. Here is a product of his manual labor, rendered before he would claim his place in ring history. The 11.5" horseshoe is covered with stamped stars and "Bob Fitsimmons" eight times.
