Offered here is a treasure trove of material with great historical value, including a ton of items on the Maroons - enough to write another book! Founded in Pottsville, Pennslyvania, the Maroons were an American football team. The controversial suspension of 1925 did not stop the team from claiming the 1925 NFL Championship and much of this material was used to support their case before the NFL. Most of this collection of over 1000 pieces originated with Joseph Zacko, an early and life-long supporter of the Maroons. This enormous lot offers items like programs, pennants, photos, and stationary, as well as signed letters from Maroons players like Charlie Berry and files on the Football HOF. It also includes 150 photographic slides and signed letters from the NFL and other NFL teams. Most of the items are in VG condition or better.
