Ike and Tina Turner Globe Poster

Ike and Tina Turner Globe Poster

These explosive images of Ike & Tina during their early '60s "chicken & chitlin' circuit" days touring inner city clubs was the template for dozens of window cards billboarding their frenetic shows. Only a club and date needed to be patched on and the posters were ready for a theater window. 16 x 20" poster situates the Turners in bubbles apart and together as well as the Ike-ettes in a bubble, with song title is other bubbles. "Ike & Tina Turner Revue and their Kings of Rhythm Orchestra” and "The World’s Most Exciting Show” say it all. This day-glo beauty in red, yellow and black silkscreen is by The Globe Poster Co. of Baltimore, which made similar posters for many great acts of the day. Outer edges of cardboard are browned but the unscathed image is NRMT.
