After his retirement in 1960, Jim Hegan embarked on a coaching career with the New York Yankees. His first year was a memorable one, as the '61 Bombers won 109 games and the World Series in what is considered one of the best seasons ever. One of the toughest single signed balls from the powerhouse team, this official American League (MacPhail) ball is the nicest one ever offered. There are two indents on the sides of the ball from display in a ball cube, but it remains PSA Graded NM-MT, "8" signature, "9" ball, and "8.5" overall. Comes with JSA LOA as well.
