Important Boxing Program Collection w/Les Darcy & Lang-Langford
An important collection of early 20th century boxing programs featuring champions and non champions of the era, most significant in this lot is the 4-page program for the fight between Sam Langford and Bill Lang on February 21, 1911. Langford programs are nearly non-existent and this one is in VG condition with closed tears. Also included are two programs of the Australian great Les Darcy against Eddie McGoorty (VG) and a rare program for middleweight great and ill-fated Billy Papke against Jim Sullivan (VG). Also includes a rare soft cover book, "Famous Fights At The Stadium," which details Australian battles of Jack Johnson-Tommy Burns, Sam Langford and others (VG). A nice hardcover, first edition of The Roar Of The Crowd by James J. Corbett with a dust cover is also included (VG).
