<p>This historic collection of items relating to the first annual NFL Pro Bowl game in 1951 consists of a commemorative ball, signed program, and Mac Speedie's American Conference playbook.&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 10pt;">The 1951 Pro Bowl matched an all-star roster of players from the NFL's American and National Conferences. In a competitive game, the American Conference narrowly defeated the National Conference 28-27, with quarterback Otto Graham earning MVP honors. Cleveland Browns Hall of Fame wide receiver Mac Speedie was a member of the American Conference team in the 1951 Pro Bowl and this collection originates from his personal collection. Consigned directly by a family member, it is one of twenty lots from the Mac Speedie Collection offered in this auction, all of which were just recently on public display at the National Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.&nbsp;</span></p><p>1) Commemorative Ball. The Wilson official "Intercollegiate" football features a gold-painted panel that reads "Pro Bowl 1951 American 28 National 27. The ball, which is moderately deflated displays heavy wear, including abrasions and scuffs.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>2) Signed Program.&nbsp;Official program from the game signed in blue ink on the cover by the following 22 members of the American Conference team: Mac Speedie, Gene Roberts, Pete Pihos, Bob Dove, Otto Graham, Paul Lipscomb, Weldon Humble, Elmer Angsman, Tony Adamle, Joe Geri, Emlen Tunnell, Walt Barnes, Otto Schnellbacher, Bill Fischer, Arnie Weinmeister, Al DeRogatis, Jerry Shipkey, Pat Harder, Charlie Conerly, John Green, Chuck Bednarik, and Al Wistert. Signatures average 7/10. The twenty-four-page program (7.75x10.75") remains in Very Good condition.&nbsp;</p><p>3) Mac Speedie's American Conference Playbook. The nine-page playbook features Speedie's name written on the first page, along with the team's practice itinerary and schedule for the week. The following eight pages display numerous offensive plays for the game. The playbook (8.5x11") displays three horizontal folds, toning, and small edge tears to the pages.</p>
