A shirtless Dempsey (Non-Pareil) in a classic boxing pose. Photo is matted and presented in a vintage brown frame. Signed beneath in black fountain ink, "Jack Dempsey, Champion Middleweight, Champion of the World." Dempsey's signature rates an amazing "9" out of a possible 10. One of the more exceptionally preserved signatures yet seen from this prize fighter who died in 1895. Some minor water stains on the matting that do not affect the signature or the photograph. Contrast and quality are quite impeccable.
