Terrific photo of the first black World Heavyweight Champ taken during his training for an unknown bout. Of note is the signature stance he's been captured in. His defensive and plodding style, though devastatingly effective, was widely criticized by fans of the day who were more accustomed to more aggressive fighters. Overall EX+-EX-MT, with Culver Pictures, Inc. stampings and reference stickers on the reverse.
