Jack Johnson Shaking Hands with John L. Sullivan Real Photo Postcard
Evocative and sepia-toned photograph postcard presents the clasping hands of two heavyweight champions, the notorious and indomitable Jack Johnson and the brash and bare-knuckled John L. Sullivan. The only photograph we have ever seen of these two legends shaking hands, an occurrence dated circa 1910, right before the Johnson-Jeffries “Fight of the Century.” Writing on the back asks, "What do you think of the Big Smoke?" VG-EX with a dog ear at the bottom right corner. Image displays with nice contrast and clarity two towering personalities of the ring.
