Stunning pre-fight photo, snapped moments before the opening bell, shows Ketchel and Johnson squaring each other up. The Michigan Assassin would last twelve rounds with the heavyweight champ before being K.O.'d in the 12th round of a fight touted as the modern day "David and Goliath". Written across the top in black fountain pen is, "Johnson-Ketchel Contest. S.F. Oct 16-09. Won By Johnson. 12 Rounds. K.O", and along the bottom is, "Britt-Ketchel-Welsh-Johnson-Little", each below their respective images. Stamped "Dana Photo S.F." on the reverse, the photo is in overall VG condition.
