Jack Johnson Vs. Jess Willard Full Ticket
On April 5, 1915 in Havana, Cuba World Heavyweight Champion Jack Johnson fought Jess Willard. Under a grueling sun the two fought for 26 rounds when suddenly the giant Jess Willard stopped the aging Johnson with a hard straight right hand. Johnson later claimed to have thrown the fight, but most ring historians dismiss this claim. The fight was of great note. Offered here is a rare, original, full, unused ticket for this event. This full ticket names both fighters, date and includes a section, row and seat number. The stubs are present and firmly attached. Bold color and print. Not creased. The ticket has edge, corner and surface wear and there is some modest staining. In any condition exceptionally rare full ticket for one of the most important fights in boxing history.
