Jackie Robinson Composition Doll in Original Box

Jackie Robinson Composition Doll in Original Box

This 1949 Jackie Robinson doll is extremely rare to find in the original box. One reason the box is so tough is that it has pictures of Jackie that were meant to be "cutout" and then the box would inevitably be discarded. The original paint is near perfect with only one minor chip. There is virtually no crazing which is extremely unusual. Clothes are complete with the iconic "42" on the back in Dodger blue. No jacket but the original facsimile signed Jackie Robinson bat is there (6"), the box shows some wear but has a bit of inner archival tape for reinforcement on the inside and is otherwise VG plus.
