Jackie Robinson Day Jersey Collection Including Dusty Baker (11)
Since April 15, 1997 - the 50th anniversary of Jackie Robinson's major league debut with the Brooklyn Dodgers - baseball has honored the man who broke the game's color barrier by retiring his number 42 and also mandating all its players wear jerseys with 42 on the back every time that day rolls around. Here are 11 such jerseys, each obtained through the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics. They were donated by teams to help raise funds. Many have a different number either marked by sharpie or are tagged, making identification possible. Teams Include here are Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Detroit, Texas and Cleveland.
