Jacob deGrom & Darryl Strawberry Dual-Signed Baseball w/ROY Inscriptions (Steiner)
Presented is an unusual offering: A Darryl Strawberry and Jacob DeGrom dual-signed baseball with Rookie of the Year inscriptions from the two New York Mets' stars. Strawberry came up to the New York Mets in 1983 and he clearly earned his Rookie of the Year Award. He hit 26 home runs and drove in 74 runs, batted .257 and stole 19 bases. Strawberry played 17 Major League seasons: New York Mets (8), New York Yankees (5), Los Angeles Dodgers (3), and San Francisco Giants (1). The 8-time All-Star hit 335 home runs. Jacob DeGrom was the National League Rookie of the Year for the New York Mets in 2014. That season he had a 9-6 record with a 2.69 ERA. After his first nine seasons with the Mets, DeGrom began the 2023 season as a Texas Ranger. Lifetime, DeGrom is 84-57, with a 2.53 ERA. DeGrom won the NL Cy Young Award in both 2018 and 2019. The New York Mets have had six players win the Rookie of the Year Award: Tom Seaver ('67), Jon Matlock ('72), Strawberry ('83), Dwight Gooden ('84), DeGrom ('14), and Pete Alonso ('19). The dual-signed baseball is a Rawlings Official Major League Baseball (Selig). Strawberry signed the ball on the sweet spot, using blue ink from a ballpoint pen. After his bold signature, Strawberry inscribed the ball "83 ROY." DeGrom signed the ball on a side panel. Using blue ink from a ballpoint pen, DeGrom signed his name and inscribed "48" and "2014 ROY." The ball is in excellent condition and it comes with a Steiner COA.
