James Corbett Personal Door Knocker and Car Registration and Paperwork
Straight off of Gentleman Jim's front door comes a door knocker baring the heavy weight champion’s name: James J. Corbett. With its’ brass patina worn off almost completely, it has aged very well . Also included is paperwork announcing the sale of his home in 1971. Dated December 1932, we also have the 1933 car registration for his ’27 LaSalle. His signature is at the bottom in black ink and is NRMT with slight wear on the “J”. The card has a bit of wear on the edges and slight browning but is laminated to protect it.
