James Dean Movie Worn Tuxedo Jacket from Giant (1956)

James Dean Movie Worn Tuxedo Jacket from Giant (1956)

His turn as Jett Rink, a ranch hand turned oil tycoon, in the 1956 Hollywood drama Giant, was James Dean's last in a major film role. It earned him his second Academy Award nomination, though he did not live to receive the accolades. This custom tailored, double breasted tuxedo jacket with tails and grosgrain lapels, was part of Dean's costume wardrobe for the film. It has a Warner Bros. tag in the collar with "James Dean", size 38 and "Giant" written in black ball point. Buttons are missing from the cuffs and three places on the jacket front and the back left tail has a 1" white spot of paint or tape adhesive. These minor issues do not take away from this incredible (NM) piece of classic movie memorabilia whose previous owner once turned down $50,000 for it from a famous Hollywood museum!
