Handsome studio portrait is a magnificent original antique cabinet photo of James J. Corbett, depicted in bare bust pose with arms folded. This is how he looked shortly after winning the title from John L. Sullivan in 1892. A beautiful sepia tone image in apparent EX-MT condition. Masterfully restored. Extremely tough to find in this size. Carries the cartouche, "Broadway & 34th St. New York" and marked, "Hall" on the bottom edge in black fountain pen. Mount measures 13.5x17". LOA.
