James J. Corbett Signed Photograph Display (PSA)
The late 1800s is considered one of the Golden Eras of boxing, when Gentleman Jim Corbett rose to acclaim as the Heavyweight Champion and the man who defeated John L. Sullivan in 1892. This beautifully oak framed 19x16" selection includes a trio of images of the champ, as well as a terrific cut signature which stands as the centerpiece. The autograph comes with an LOA from PSA/DNA rating it a 9/10, and it is inscribed, "Sincerely, Jas J. Corbett Sept 14/32," which dates it less than six months from his passing. Equally significant is a 4" x 9" signed and inscribed photo of Corbett in period dress. A cabinet card and original photo of the dapper Corbett round out the display. A fine tribute to the first gloved heavyweight champion.
