James J. Jeffries Three Cabinet Photo Display (28x14")
James J. Jeffries retired undefeated in 1905 posting career victories over Jim Corbett, Tom Sharkey, Peter Jackson & Jack Munroe. He came out of retirement in 1910 to fight Jack Johnson in a much-anticipated fight, but was stopped in 15 rounds. Jeffries is considered by many historians to be one of the great fighters of the early 20th century. Presented are three original photos of James J. Jeffries vintage to 1899, showing the fighter as he appeared during his professional career, a very scarce grouping of a great early Heavyweight Champion. Each measures approx. 6x8”, in Excellent condition. Double matted and framed to 14x28.5”. LOA.
