Fold in top left does not affect Naismith's image in this Associated Press shot. Typed AP caption affixed to back reads in part that the subject is, "... the 'Father of Basketball' for he invented the game in 1891," while adding that "... he still shoots enough baskets to keep in good physical trim, as above photo will testify," with date of 12/13/29.
