Basketball Hall of Famer, Jerry West, is the silhouette for the famous NBA logo. He was also know as " Mr. Clutch" to his Lakers teammates and brought major franchise success to LA as a manger. Early photos from 1959 and 60 show the WVU All-American on the cusp of a stellar pro career & discussing his contract with the Lakers with the press. Latest date in this lot is 1992 on a promo photo from his time as GM of the Lakers. Tons of great basketball action and Laker promo photos in between in this (43 ) piece lot between. Interesting 1987 caricature of West from Universal Press Syndicate entitled "How the West was Won". Photos measure 2.5 x 4" to 8.5 x 11.5 ". Several lesser quality laser wire photos among the photos from the 70's, but otherwise condition of the lot ranges from VG (due only to editing marks and trimming) to MT.
