Jim Thorpe Movie Promotional Photo (1931)
Universal Pictures promotional photo of football great Jim Thorpe taken in 1931. Thorpe was also the first man to win both the decathlon and the pentathlon at the Olympic Games (1912). This is an 8" x 10" photo EX with minor corner damage. A Native American, Thorpe was signed by Universal for its thrill serial "Battling with Buffalo Bill". In it Thorpe played a great Indian warrior.
