Jim Turner pitched for the Yankees during the war years of 1942-45, then served as pitching coach under Casey Stengel from 1949 to 1959, when he wore this road jersey. "Turner 59" is chain-stitched in the collar, the New York on the front appears all-original. The reverse number was changed from 31 to 33 at some point. There's a Wilson Sporting Goods tag inside the front tail. The Yankees were the dominant team of that time, winning seven World Series titles during Turner's decade as mentor, although 1959 was a rather mundane season for the Bombers as they finished 79-75 and in third place. The jersey is in EX Condition.
