A superb image of the great DiMaggio and the Yankee’s slick fielding 2nd baseman, Joe Gordon. Taken in 1942, as evidenced by their WWII vintage “ Health” patches, it offers a pre-game glimpse of the steely determination that marked the careers of these two AL MVPs. Those careers would soon be interrupted by a world at war. This original 4”x 5” negative is in NRMT condition.
